(Senior) Tax Manager
Richards Sandy recently celebrated our 20th anniversary. We are enjoying a period of sustained growth under the stewardship of our Partner team. Coupled with the retirement of senior Colleagues we now have an interesting opportunity to recruit a Senior Tax Manager / Tax Manager to support the Associate Director of Tax and Partners who oversee and deliver tax advisory and compliance work for a varied client portfolio.

The successful applicant will work collaboratively with Partners and Directors to provide high‑quality technical advice and commercially focused solutions.
About the role:
Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, developing strong, long‑term relationships and delivering a high‑quality service you will:
- Take responsibility for the tax compliance and associated advisory matters of a diverse portfolio of clients including the review of work prepared by other team members, ensuring technical accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Review/prepare corporation tax returns for a small number of clients.
- Help to deliver a wide range of tax planning projects, including: inheritance tax and estate planning for HNW families and business owners, client restructuring work, including management buyouts, demergers and new holding company structures, pre-sale tax planning
Key competencies:
- CTA qualified (or equivalent).
- Extensive experience within personal tax or mixed tax, ideally in a practice environment.
- Broad technical knowledge across income tax, CGT, trusts, IHT, and related HNWI issues.
- Proven experience managing your own portfolio and delivering high‑quality client service.

- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with clients at all levels.
- Strong leadership qualities with experience coaching and developing junior staff.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage competing deadlines and project‑based workloads.
- Collaborative and relationship‑driven, able to work effectively across teams and specialisms.
